Mandan, ND. May 15, 2018 – North Dakota Adult & Teen Challenge is pleased to announce it has received a $5,000.00 grant from the MDU Resources Foundation. These funds will support ND Adult & Teen Challenge’s educational substance abuse awareness and prevention program, “Know the Truth” ND.
“Know the Truth” ND is intended to educate teens and others of the dangers of addictions. These high-energy presentations are designed to be taken into the public schools and are proven to be very successful in other states. Presenters share their personal story of addiction and the consequences they faced.
“These funds will help us reach our goal of sharing this life-saving message with up to 10,000 students statewide during the 2018-19 school year.”

The Community Foundation awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process.
North Dakota Adult & Teen Challenge, located in Mandan, ND, is a residential, faith-based drug and alcohol recovery program. The Life Care curriculum provides students with a supportive environment, Biblical principles, and individualized courses of learning necessary for gaining freedom and lasting recovery from substance abuse and the life-controlling problems associated with it. Life Care consists of four graduated levels which focus on spiritual and emotional wellness. Students will spend a minimum of 12 months working through these levels.
