Areas Where We Need Help

Interior Painters

• Help refresh and beautify our spaces.

Carpet Layers

• Assist with flooring updates.

Donation Collection

• Calling Businesses: Reach out to local businesses for donations for the children’s room, including:

  • Child-sized tables and chairs

  • Bean bags and rocking chairs

  • Bookshelves and books (from preschool to teenage)

  • Puzzles, games, and larger toys

  • Arts and crafts supplies (scissors, paper, markers, crayons, etc.)

Interior Designers

• Provide design assistance in various areas, such as the Administration area and Chapel.

Project-Specific Donations

• Make phone calls asking for donations for specific projects.

Thank You Coordination

• Write thank-you cards to businesses for their donations and track incoming contributions to ensure timely acknowledgments.

Committee Formation

• Organize committees for events such as Banquets, including themes, decorations, advertising, set-up, clean-up, and collecting donations for advertising needs and silent auction items.

Fishing Tournament Preparation

• Assist with donation calls, gathering items, and advertising for fishing tournaments.

Holiday Volunteers

• Help with decorations and special events for students, families, and the community.

  • Example: For Christmas, we plan to host an open house that requires decorations, food, servers, advertising, and event coordination.

  • Fundraising Initiative: Coordinate and advertise a fundraiser where students can sing carols at designated addresses.

Parenting Classes

• Teach parenting classes to support families.

Children’s Activities

• Lead biblically based activities for children during their stay, including Bible School programs for Easter, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, etc.

Signage Donations

• Call for donations of new signs.

Graphic Designers

• Assist with creating literature, signs, posters, brochures, etc.

Organizers

• We are always in need of good organizers to help streamline our efforts.

Writers & Computer Task Helpers

• Offer assistance with writing and various computer tasks.

Data Collectors

• Work with statistics and gather data for our programs.

Reconnect with Former Students

• Call former students to check in, offer support, pray for them, and let them know they are still valued members of our community. This will also aid in data collection.

Landscapers & Gardeners

• Help revamp our front area and assist students in growing flowers and vegetables.

Mentors

• Provide one-on-one mentoring for individual students.

Woodworkers

• Share your skills in woodworking for projects around our facility.

Bible Study Leaders & Chapel Speakers

• Lead Bible study sessions and speak at chapel events.

Giving Hearts Day Committee

• Join our committee to promote and support Giving Hearts Day.

Social Media Coordinator

• Help manage our social media presence and outreach.

This is just a sample of areas where you can volunteer, and you do not need to reside in the Bismarck/Mandan area.

Adult & Teen Challenge, North Dakota travels for banquets, concerts, and other events. When we come to your area, we need your support! Promoting events in your community ahead of our arrival is crucial. Then we always need decorators, set-up crews, servers and tear-down crews.  As you can see…
